Scott McCloy is director of communications for WorkSafeBC - the Workers’ Compensation Board of British Columbia, responsible for all internal and external corporate communications.
Scott has more than 25 years of communications experience in both the public and private sectors with large, complex organizations. He began his career in television news with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation before eventually moving into public relations, where he consulted with, or worked for, a range of high-profile provincial and national organizations. He joined WorkSafeBC in the mid 1990s. Scott holds an MBA from Royal Roads University, teaches marketing at post-secondary level and advises in communications with other workers’ compensation organizations. In his spare time, Scott volunteers with several community organizations.
