CPRS Student Services

The Education Portfolio encompasses the CPRS Vancouver Student Services Committee, which represents the interests of its learner members and non-members.  It serves to bridge the gap between education and the business world.

Our mission:

  • To enhance the career opportunities of Public Relations and Communications learners through events and services

  • To foster the professional interest of learners, and promote high professional standards and the CPRS code of practice

Our vision:

  • To support the development of current and future public relations practitioners that will advance the professional stature of the industry and promote high professional standards

Learners currently enrolled in full-time or part-time Public Relations or Communications programs at colleges and universities can become a Student Member of CPRS Vancouver.   Benefits of membership include networking opportunities, employment notices, speaker series events, learning & development workshops, mentoring, scholarship opportunity, Essentials e-newsletter, website access, conferences and volunteer opportunities.

Full-time learners in their final year of a recognized public relations program in B.C. are eligible to apply for the CPRS Dean Miller Scholarship sponsored by Cision. This $1000 scholarship is made possible with the ongoing assistance from Cision Media Monitoring. To learn how to apply, click here.  Deadline for application is April 30th of each year (unless the deadline falls during a weekend, in which case it is the first following Monday).

The annual student membership fee is $40. Join now!
