 Myths about Mentoring

"It’s too time-consuming." Mentoring requires 1hr of communication per month.

"I’ll be barraged with calls/emails." Mentees are restricted to once a week contact between monthly meetings.

"I don’t have time for face-face meetings." You don’t have to meet face to face. You can communicate via email or by telephone instead. Mentors and Mentees will be matched according to communication vehicle preferences.

"It’s a one-way relationship." You can learn from your Mentee. This relationship gives you access to current education tools, trends and skills. You can also exercise your own skills by applying your knowledge to academic assignments.
