Léo Newman has joined FleishmanHillard as an intern in the Vancouver office.
Prior to starting at FleishmanHillard, Léo completed a B.A. in communications with a minor in international relations at Simon Fraser University in December of 2012 and has written for a Vancouver-based bilingual newspaper, The/La Source.
Anna Lilly, Senior Vice President at FleishmanHillard says: “We’re very pleased to welcome Léo as a member of the FleishmanHillard team in a role that supports a wide variety of our client work. Léo’s understanding of communications and his interest in politics and government affairs is a great combination for us as a public relations and public affairs firm.”
Speaking of his new position, Léo says: “It’s an incredible opportunity to be part of such a talented and professional team. I feel extraordinarily lucky to start my career with such a prestigious firm that provides a chance to learn from the best and contribute to projects in a meaningful way.”
Fun fact: as an avid traveler Léo has touched down on the six continents of the world, but one of them is more a technicality than an authentic experience.
Léo started his new role in May.
