Where are you studying and what’s the name of your program?

BCIT Marketing Management – Public Relations.

Describe your average day. 

Green tea for breakfast. Blog/writing projects in the morning. I do my workouts before lunch. In the evening, I usually do reading or school work (if I’m not actually in class).

Are you an ‘early bird’ or ‘night owl’? What helps you get your work done?
Night Owl: I love listening to dance music while I work.

What appeals to you most about working in PR?

I love business writing, communications, social media and marketing so being in PR would allow me to do things I am really into!

How would you describe yourself out of the following three categories; an organizer, a creative or a strategist? 

I’m a creative but I do love organizing (I volunteer as a tennis organizer).

What’s your dream job? 

My dream job is to own a boutique PR firm.

What’s your favourite PR campaign? 

The Dove Campaign for Real Beauty.

Who is your PR idol?

Richard Edelman

What’s your favourite social network and why?

Pinterest: I’m a visual person and I enjoy pinning photos, articles, vids onto different boards; I really like how easy it is to use and how people new to Pinterest can easily learn to pin stuff.

Where do you see yourself ten years from now?

Traveling the world doing public speaking seminars, writing books, working in communications and loving every minute!

A fun fact about you: 

Styx Communications (my blog) is named after Styx, a black DSH kitten I rescued 2 years ago from Katie’s Place in Maple Ridge, BC.
