In 1959, the iconic Queen Elizabeth Theatre, the Vancouver Maritime Museum and Vancouver’s Oakridge shopping centre opened their doors. The same year, construction started on the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal and Queen Elizabeth visited Vancouver to open the George Massey Tunnel. It was also the year the Vancouver Chapter of the Canadian Public Relations Society launched!
On Thursday, June 13 CPRS Vancouver invites you to join us in honouring the past and celebrating the future of our chapter at CPRS Vancouver’s 60th Anniversary Celebration and Annual General Meeting.
Held at the Bill Reid Gallery, home to the Simon Fraser University Bill Reid Collection and special exhibitions of contemporary Indigenous Art of the Northwest Coast of North America (Canada's only public gallery dedicated to contemporary Indigenous Art of the Northwest Coast), your ticket will also include admission to the gallery, a complimentary drink and delicious appetizers.
While taking in the gallery’s exhibits, come hear past and present Presidents, Directors and Members share memories and moments that defined their careers and the PR industry in Vancouver.
Presentations will also be made by Board members on the activities of the Chapter over the past year, along with member recognition and awards.
