In 1959, the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) officially launched a chapter in its most western city: Vancouver. Sixty years later the chapter is going strong, and on Thursday, June 13, 2019 we celebrated its 60th anniversary milestone by honoring the past and celebrating the future of CPRS Vancouver.

When I started thinking about CPRS Vancouver’s 60th anniversary earlier this year, my goal was to reach out to as many people as possible who have been involved with the chapter since 1959.

PR has undergone a lot of change, and for the women who led the way in Vancouver’s PR industry, some of those evolutions are bigger than just the end of fax machines.

We hear from Carla Shore, APR FCPRS and some amazing women pioneers involved in PR in Vancouver over the years.

We hear from incoming National President and former CPRS Vancouver board member Victor Vrsnik, MCM APR FCPRS. He shares his thoughts on CPRS and his member experience.
